Highland Resident Awarded EMRA / EMF Resident Research Grant for 2017-2018

Erica Valdovinos, current R3 and Highland class of 2019, has been awarded an incredibly competitive $10,000 Emergency Medicine Residents' Association (EMRA) / Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) Resident Research Grant for the 2017-2018 academic year. She'll be investigating "The Impact of the Affordable Care Act and the Expansion of Medicaid on Racial Disparities in Coronary Reperfusion after Acute Myocardial Infarction." She was awarded the grant in partnership with mentors Dr. Matthew Niedzwiecki and Dr. Renee Hsia, both in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UCSF. Congratulations Erica!
